Thornton Heath celebrates with community festival

Steve Reed MP joined hundreds of families and residents at this year’s Thornton Heath Festival.  The sun shone down as festival-goers sampled food and culture from around the world.

Among the many stalls were local restaurants cooking up food, charities raising funds, dancers, singers, and plenty of fun for families.  Steve drew the raffle on the main stage with lucky winners walking away with a TV, a brand new bathroom suite, a crate of wine, and other prizes donated by generous local businesses.

Speaking as the festival drew to a close, Steve Reed MP said:

“The Thornton Heath festival showed our area at its very best.  Our wonderfully diverse community came together to celebrate the end of summer, everyone was having fun and the sun shone.  It was really great to come and meet so many people and enjoy all that Thornton Heath has to offer.”
